2020 PHOTOG Board Election and Nominees

Bill Oswald | Published on 12/2/2020

The candidates listed below have notified our Secretary, Andrew Rzepczynski, of their interest and willingness to serve on the PHOTOG Board of Directors for the two-year term beginning January 1, 2021.

Election/confirmation of our nominees will be held at our December 16th virtual Education session held on Zoom.

Bios of our candidates follow below.

Executive Director/President - Larry Hall

“I have been a member of PHOTOG since 2014 and this association has not only been rewarding and educational but fun.  I served three (3) years as Director of Events working with the Event Coordinators to layout a very active agenda for photographic events.

Photography was born out of the many opportunities in the travels that my career afforded me as I traveled and lived-in different areas of the United States.
Retiring in 2011 gave rise to developing this passion for photography. For many years, I was self-taught struggling to not just ‘take a snap-shot’, but to make a meaningful photo not only to me but to the viewer.

It was soon after this that I got connected to PHOTOG and the very generous members who would share their knowledge and experience.  Thank you for the opportunity to be part of this community.

“In every photo there are two people:  the photographer and the viewer.”  Ansel Adams.

Secretary - Sara Hayman

“I am interested in the position of Secretary. I currently work in the construction industry as a Credit/AR/AP manager. I have been an active member of PHOTOG since September of 2017. I have been an Advisor in a youth leadership organization for 11 years and served as secretary for 5 years for this organization. I believe this has given me the skills to serve in this role.

Thank you for the consideration.”

Director of Education - Bill Ramsay

“Bill retired in December 2006 from his position as Director of Wholesale Sales at Verizon Telecom located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Since leaving Verizon, Bill was engaged in the formation and development of an Internet marketing company and has developed a small photography business specializing in Portraiture, Fine Art, and Real Estate.

Bill has served as the Director of Education on the PHOTOG Board of Directors for 2019 and 2020.

Bill is a Tulsa native and received his BSBA from The University of Tulsa, with a major in Business Management. In June of 2018 he was inducted into the Oklahoma Military Academy Alumni Hall of Fame, and currently serves on the Board of Directors.  He also enjoys playing guitar and blues harmonica.  Bill and his wife Deann reside in Tulsa.”
